# Ethnography Museum Piatra Neamț

Open since 1980 in a 1924 Neo-Romanian house (formerly the home of the boys' school headmaster), a listed monument. The collection began with field research in the Bistrița Valley carried out before the Bicaz dam flooded it and now exceeds 5,000 items.

Open since 1980 in a 1924 Neo-Romanian house (formerly the home of the boys' school headmaster), a listed monument. The collection began with field research in the Bistrița Valley carried out before the Bicaz dam flooded it and now exceeds 5,000 items. The exhibition 'Seasons of the Village' recreates a late-19th-century Neamț peasant interior and presents yearly occupations and festivals. On display are festive costumes, household textiles, woodwork and props for winter customs.
